Ya Hsin to make LED-backlit TVs for Philips, paper says

Taiwan-based Ya Hsin Industrial has received orders from Philips for LED-backlit TVs, with shipments expected to start by the end of the first quarter 2007, according to the Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN). The orders, the first Ya Hsin has ever received for its LED TVs, will amount to a few hundreds of thousands units for all of 2007, the paper said, adding the maker declined to comment on issues concerning its orders.
