Although Chuan-Chuan Tsai, the former senior vice president of Quanta Display (QDI) and Chen Jin-zhi, the former vice president of QDI's manufacturing department, were both appointed special assistants of AU Optronics (AUO) to help in the preparation for the merger between the two companies to complete in October, Tsai is said to leave QDI, with Chen to soon follow, according to the Chinese-language Economic Daily News. The paper mentioned that Tsai decided to leave QDI for personal reasons, and Chen already stopped working at QDI, the paper said.
