AMD announces 64-bit Sempron prices

AMD has now unveiled their pricing strategy for the new 64-bit Semprons that are available in 2600+, 2800+, 3000+, 3100+, and 3300+ versions. According to information found at Digitimes, the whole 64-bit lineup features Socket-754 architecture, which will be priced slightly lower than Socket A, in order to accelerate the transition to the new Socket. Also, the price difference between 32-bit Semprons and those with 64-bit enabled, will be less than $4.
